“And Then They Came” is a brand new play by Cole Alvis. Inspired by the founding of the Métis nation, this new play aims to inspire the audience to consider their ancestors when dreaming of the future. Cole explains that in writing this play, “I am remembering the Two-Spirit leaders in my bloodline whose actions aren’t often written about in the history books.” In the story, two siblings are tasked to imagine the future. Through dance and movement, they will guide us on their exploration of what will be.
